... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late tonight through
Monday morning above 10000 feet...
... Winter Weather Advisory for this morning has expired...

* locations... the western San Juan Mountains above 10000 feet.

* Timing... while show showers are expected at times this
afternoon... snowfall will become more widespread late this
evening. Accumulations of wet snow are possible beginning early
Sunday morning over the highest elevations.

* Snow accumulation... 3 to 6 inches with higher amounts possible
beginning late tonight through Monday morning above 10000 feet.

* Snow level... snowfall is expected down to about 8000
feet... with significant accumulations above 10,000 feet.

* Winds... moderate southwest winds of 10 to 20 mph at
mountaintop level will shift to the northwest and north Sunday
night.

* Visibility... reduced to less than one mile at times.

* Impacts... roads over the higher mountain passes... including
Red Mountain and Lizard Head passes... may be slushy or snow
covered at times... resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow accumulations and/or blowing snow that may impact travel.
